Lamar CISD's Important Dates and a Video Project

To all Lamar CISD alumni and current students from our Young Ranch community, through Twitter, Mr. Kasey WIlleby of Foster High School would like for you to submit videos to kwilleby@lcisd.org for a district-wide project saying the following sentences:
“I am LCISD.” And “LCISD taught me_____”

This opportunity gives our younger students the chance to hear from those who have “been there done that”. Current students can see where Lamar CISD has taken all the alumni, which can possibly provide encouragement for students to work toward a certain career. Alumni may even see their high school friends in this district wide video. If you haven’t had a chance to reconnect in years, this project may give you a chance to see what everyone is currently doing. Time is incredibly valuable now and we don’t realize just how much time has went by until we slow down to think about it. So, let’s use this chance to slow down. Think about how far we’ve come and help guide the current Lamar CISD students to become our society’s future!

Other important Lamar CISD news are a couple of dates set for this year -
Be sure to join the Meet the Chargers event on August 27, 2019 at 6:30 pm at Charger Stadium. Guests will see the cheer team, dance team, football team, Charger bans and drumline, volleyball, cross country, swim, tennis, and our Leaman Jr. High Football team! There will be five food trucks to choose your dinner from, team booths, and sponsor booths.
Open House will take place on Monday, September 9 at 6:30 pm where parents can get to know their students’ teachers better. Getting to know the teachers is so important because parents want to know the adults helping to shape their children. This will be the night to find out just how well your student is doing in school or what they may be needing help with.
