Katy ISD Provides Technology For Student Success

Young Ranch students attending Katy ISD have officially started their 2020-21 school year with virtual learning for the initial three weeks. The district’s objective if for all families to have access and the ability to participate in the online instruction. Katy ISD has received 25, 000 requests for technological devices.

Prior to the first day, Katy ISD checked-out thousands of devices, including Chromebooks, laptops, iPads and hotspots. In order to ensure a successful school year, Katy ISD is also offering free/reduced internet options, technology support and parent orientations.

September 8 is the designated date for face-to-face instruction to begin for families that have chosen this option, however, the district anticipates approximately 43,000 students will remain online.
