Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Plans For May Event

The 2021 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is planning to pushback their traditional March date to May 4-23. This highly anticipated community event was cancelled within the first week after the pandemic in March 2020.

Prerodeo kickoff events such as the downtown parade, Rodeo Run, trail rides and barbecue cook-off will preclude the rodeo events as is the tradition.  The HLSR would continue to feature the concerts, competitions, carnival events and entertainment. These events continue to be contingent on the pandemic, but organizers are optimistic about the delayed dates.

The Junior Livestock and Horse Show competitions will be held in March as previously announced by event organizers.
