Hardworking Katy ISD Employees Rewarded a One-Time Lump Sum Payment
Katy Independent School District has faced numerous obstacles over the past academic year, but its employees have managed to provide excellent support for students in spite of this difficult season.
As staff members across Katy Independent School District wrap up this school year and look back on their accomplishments, they should be proud. Despite all the changes that came with COVID-19 (the pandemic) and the disastrous winter storms, schools were able to stay operational and keep children safe while still delivering quality education.
Katy ISD Board President Ashley Vann said that on behalf of her and the board, she wants to personally thank everyone from their food services employees to their operations staff, principals, and teachers for going above and beyond to help students in the midst of challenging and uncertain times. The entire Katy ISD staff rose to the occasion, to continue to provide outstanding service to their students and their community.
In order to qualify for the one-time lump sum payment, employment with Katy ISD should have begun by January 4th. Substitutes who worked at least 70 days during this past school year will be eligible to receive a bonus payment of $250.
