City Council Approves Protection of Katy Heritage Park

Katy City Council unanimously approved a new division 11 title for structures located in Katy Heritage Park. Division 11 will keep the area historically accurate and will serve to encourage more preservation of historic landmarks while also promoting tourism to the city.

The Katy Heritage Society is a nonprofit organization with the mission of educating its community through historical preservation, restoration, and displays. They have been working hard to ensure Katy’s history and historic landmarks are preserved and protected, so that younger generations may look into the past to see the way Katy used to be.
