Both School Districts Receive an A in Financial Integrity

Both of the Young Ranch community’s school districts have received a “Superior” score in Financial Integrity! This A-grade shows that Lamar CISD and Katy ISD have directed their financial resources in a manner that allocates the “maximum amount possible for direct instructional purposes.” These school districts have done an amazing job!

The Texas Education Agency’s state financial accountability rating is also known as School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas). The mission of this rating system is to “ensure that Texas public schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices and that they improve those practices.” The district’s ratings are determined by 15 indicators and a “complete annual financial report which has been reviewed by an external independent auditor.” Both school districts passed with flying colors!
